Jewel of the Sierras: An interactive, floating art installation providing viewers with a deeper connection to the area’s ecology. During the day, panels of the structure will reflect the environmental architecture, including views of the mountains and the lake, while 3D projection mapping will show the audience data and images that foster conversation about environmental issues.
Land to Lake Informational Displays: Large touchscreens, accessible throughout the village, will let attendees control the images displayed on the Jewel of the Sierras, creating an opportunity for education about biodiversity.
Three hours of free music a day, for locals and attendees to enjoy.
All activities during the three-day event, including recycling, composting, reducing, reusing, and eliminating event-generated materials, will be monitored as to establish future resource management goals for the event.
Jewel of the Sierras, an interactive art installation floating on the waters of Lake Tahoe, connects viewers with the area’s ecology.
